The Travel Technology Manager is responsible for the technical administration of the online booking tool for agency and GDS configuration updates, technical integration, and global deployment of travel products, tools and technologies to further optimize, enhance and evolve this banking customers global travel program in joint alignment with client and American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) priorities, pivotal initiatives and travel technology roadmaps.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role and responsibilities of the Travel Technology Manager is expected to grow to meet the evolving needs of the client global travel program and adapt to continued changes within the business travel landscape and ecosystem. This is a People Leader role for OBT analysts.
- Serve as key point of contact for travel technology projects and solutions
- Consultation and technical leader for the administration of the online booking tool
- Provide consultation, lead team for advanced troubleshooting, and ongoing support of raised issues with Concur support and account teams
- Liaise with the client's travel program team members, travel category and geo-leads, GBT commercial, operations, product and technology teams, external travel distribution and content suppliers, online travel booking tools, and 3rd party travel applications to integrate and implement travel solutions for client travelers
- Provide TMC consultation, industry expertise, travel technology coordination, integration and strategic planning support for future market implementation, program optimization and travel technology projects
- Develop and own the joint Travel Technology Roadmap between the client and GBT based on the client's technology and travel program requirements
- Lead business and system integration requirements for travel technology initiatives and projects
- Lead delivery of agreed technology projects from the Travel Technology Roadmap working in close collaboration with client and GBT project teams, key linkages, and subject matter experts
- Collaborate with Product Strategy and Technology teams to help improve tool capabilities, support enterprise policy, supplier strategies, and ongoing program optimization goals and objectives
- Supervise travel program for additional opportunities to evolve and optimize travel technology solutions, and improve traveler experience and duty of care programs, working with client management team(s)
- Support strategic planning in Consulting, Meetings and Card program
- Participate in industry conferences and travel technology events to remain abreast of industry trends, developing technologies, and future innovations within the industry and American Express GBT enterprise
Location
The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $60,000 to $110,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
