SUMMARY
The Records Clerk position will support the daily administration of USDA Rural Development Voucher Program (RDVP) activities, including answering and tracking incoming calls and emails.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Provides customer service support regarding voucher processing status via email and phone.
Answers phone calls, voicemail, status calls and emails.
Maintains call and email logs and records.
Answers calls to the RDVP 1-800 line during core business hours. Calls after hours or on weekends or holidays will be returned on the next regular business day. Creates and maintains a detailed call log on incoming calls to include date, time, caller name, problem and resolution.
Investigates and follows up on Unauthorized Assistance cases.
Performs other RDVP duties assigned by Team Lead Supervisor.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Must be able to obtain government security clearance.

Possesses knowledge of the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996 transaction processing.
Knowledge of RD Voucher Program.

Solid organization skills relevant to carrying out day-to-day responsibilities with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs ( i.e., Excel, Access, Word and Outlook).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
